Natalia Rubinstein

Born in 1971. After graduating from the Moscow Gnessins’ Music School (class of Professor Tatyana Zelikman) and Gnessins’ Russian Musical Academy (class of Professor Vladimir Tropp) she continued her studies as a postgraduate student of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory (class of Professor Alexander Bonduriansky).

The founder of Brahms Trio, she has performed with it in Austria, Italy, Australia, South Korea, Turkey, Germany, Belgium, Poland, Croatia, Macedonia and more then 60 cities of Russia. Laureate of the International Competitions in Italy (1993, 2nd Prize) and in Germany (1996, 1st Prize).

She also performed with Alexander Kniazev, Galina Pisarenko, Alexey Martynov, Hibla Gerzmava, Anya Fidelia, Karmen Balthrop, Alexander Trostiansky, Andrei Gridchuk, Solenne Paidassi, Julian Milkis, Charles Neidich and others. Her discography includes works by Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Arensky, Glinka, Rachmaninov, Shostakovich, Schnittke, Bloch, and Piazzolla.

Since 1994 – a constant participant in concert series at the Small Hall of Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Since 2002 Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation. Since 2003 Artistic-director of the International Art Festival “Art-November” in Moscow. Since 2003 she holds the position of Professor of Chamber ensemble at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory.
